John
Fleetwood is the Managing Director of Ethical Money, having founded
the company in 2005. John has advised individuals on ethical
investing since 1991, before selling his IFA business in 2006 to
focus on developing social investment products that meet previously
unmet needs. He is ethical funds development manager at King &
Shaxson, a role that was created to launch two new ethical funds and
a personal portfolio service. John also provides ethical screening
for King & Shaxson's ethical investment portfolios, as well as
research and training on solutions-based investments for Smith &
Williamson. Latterly, John has been helping to promote and develop
investment funds with a particularly high social impact.
He is well known in the ethical
investment community, having founded the Ethical Investment
Association, the trade body for ethical financial advisers, and
having been part of the ethical investment movement since the early
1990s. John's motivation comes from his Christian belief and
environmental commitment, which have led to his authorship of 'The
Money Test', a comprehensive guide to Christian financial planning.
He is also a director of The Ethics
Foundation which has launched the Ethics Mark, a symbol of ethical
integrity, of which Ethical Money is one of the first holders.
