the English Lake District near Kendal. Garnett Bridge lies at the
entrance to an archetypal Lakeland valley, where luscious meadows
lie beneath craggy hilltops and the River Sprint charges under the
hump-backed bridge. This is the sort of landscape that inspired the

Kendal Station which connects with the West Coast mainline to London
and Scotland, and is about 20 minutes from Junction 36 on the M6
motorway.
